Banana Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
TOPPING:
1 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

1. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
well after each addition. Add the bananas and vanilla.

2. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture.

3. Combine topping ingredients; add half to batter.

4. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.

5. Sprinkle with the remaining topping.

6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes
out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
