Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

2. Combine the egg, milk, oil, banana and applesauce; stir into dry ingredients just until
moistened. Fold in the chocolate chips.

3. Fill greased muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until a
toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
